Meet Heemay!
Heemay is a lovely girl looking for a calm, understanding home where she can be the centre of attention. She's affectionate and enjoys spending time with her people, but she's happiest when interactions are taken at her pace.
Heemay can become a little overexcited during pats or play, so she'll thrive with people who can read her body language and give her space when she needs it. With a gentle, patient approach, she's a rewarding companion who enjoys forming strong bonds with her humans.
She would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children or adults only, where everyone understands how to respect her boundaries. Heemay is also looking for a home where she can be the only cat, so she doesn't have to share her people or her space.
If you're looking for a cat with plenty of personality and are happy to let her set the pace, Heemay could be the perfect addition to your home.
In a first for Australian animal shelters, The Lost Dogs’ Home Adoption Ambassador Program will give animals a better chance at finding a forever home by allowing people to adopt directly from our specially trained foster carers. This will negate the need for animals to return to the shelter environment.
If you are interested in adopting an animal through this program please contact us using the button below.
We’d love to hear from you. Whether you have a question, want to get involved, or simply need more information, our team is here to help.
