Meet Darcie - Your Sweet, Playful Shadow.
At just 8 months old, beautiful tan Staffy girl Darcie is ready to find a patient, loving family who will help her blossom into the confident companion she's meant to be.
Darcie is an absolute darling with the sweetest nature. She loves nothing more than racing around the yard chasing her favourite stuffed toys before proudly showing them off. Her playful puppy personality is starting to shine, and with the right home, there's so much more waiting to bloom.
Like many young dogs, Darcie is still learning about the world. New people and unfamiliar places can make her feel a little unsure, so she'll need a family who understands that slow and steady wins the race. She's currently working with our dedicated Behaviour Team on a confidence-building plan, and she's making great progress. Continuing this journey at home with gradual, positive introductions to new people, places, and experiences will help her thrive.
Darcie would enjoy living with a calm, well-matched canine friend after careful, positive introductions. She could also happily join a family with respectful secondary school aged children who can understand when she needs a little time and space to settle in.
As a young pup, Darcie hasn't learned many of the basics just yet, so she'll be looking for a family excited to teach her through force free, reward-based training. Every new skill she learns is another opportunity to build her confidence and strengthen your bond.
If you're the kind of person who celebrates the little wins, enjoys watching a shy dog discover just how wonderful life can be, and is looking for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold, Darcie is ready to become part of your family.
Come meet this gorgeous girl, you might just be the person she's been waiting for.
Darcie xx

In a first for Australian animal shelters, The Lost Dogs’ Home Adoption Ambassador Program will give animals a better chance at finding a forever home by allowing people to adopt directly from our specially trained foster carers. This will negate the need for animals to return to the shelter environment.
