Heidi

Cranbourne

Dog • 4 years

Meet Heidi!

Heidi is a lovely, sweet girl who is looking for a patient family to help her continue building confidence and discovering that the world isn't such a scary place. She can be a little wary of new people at first, but once she's had the chance to get to know you, she quickly forms strong bonds and shows her affectionate, gentle nature.

Heidi is a clever dog who loves to learn and enjoys training sessions, especially when they're fun and rewarding. She loves playing with balls and toys, enjoys enrichment activities that keep her mind busy, and never says no to a pig's ear as a special treat.

She enjoys the company of other dogs and often gains confidence from calm, well-mannered canine friends. Heidi may be suited to living with another compatible, relaxed dog who can help show her the ropes, although boisterous dogs can be a little intimidating for her. Any introductions should be gradual to set everyone up for success.

Heidi will thrive with adopters who are committed to continuing her positive, reward-based training and confidence building with new people, dogs, and environments. With patience and consistency, she continues to grow into a more confident and capable dog.

Because Heidi can be sensitive and nervous in unfamiliar situations, she is looking for an adult-only home where she can feel safe and supported. In the right home, this beautiful girl will reward her family with loyalty, companionship, and the pleasure of watching her confidence flourish.

The Adoption Ambassador Program

In a first for Australian animal shelters, The Lost Dogs’ Home Adoption Ambassador Program will give animals a better chance at finding a forever home by allowing people to adopt directly from our specially trained foster carers. This will negate the need for animals to return to the shelter environment.
