Hi, I'm CJ!

I'm an almost 9 year old Staffy gentleman, but don't let that fool you - I still have plenty of zoom left in me! I'm fit, active, and love a good run. If you're looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling... but if you'd like a loyal sidekick who enjoys getting out and about, we should definitely meet.

One of my best qualities? I'm a dream to walk! I'm excellent on lead, love exploring with my humans, and I'm a great listener. I already know how to sit, and I'm very responsive to my handler. If you're talking to me, you can bet I'm paying attention.

Now, let's discuss something very important... food. I LOVE food. Treats are basically my favourite thing ever. I can be quite polite about it, but if you're taking too long to hand over the goodies, I may give you a single bark as a gentle reminder. What can I say? Sometimes humans need a little help staying on schedule!

I'm looking for a home that will help me continue building my confidence with new people and environments through gradual, positive experiences. I thrive when people are patient, kind, and use force free training methods that help me learn and feel safe.

I may be able to live with another dog, but I'd like any introductions to be slow, positive, and carefully managed so I can make friends at my own pace. I could also suit a family with secondary school aged children who understand that every dog likes a little time to settle in.

If you're after a handsome, food-loving, adventure-ready companion with excellent manners and a whole lot of love to give, I might just be your guy.

So... what do you think? Got any treats?

CJ xx

The Adoption Ambassador Program

In a first for Australian animal shelters, The Lost Dogs’ Home Adoption Ambassador Program will give animals a better chance at finding a forever home by allowing people to adopt directly from our specially trained foster carers. This will negate the need for animals to return to the shelter environment.
