Meet Benito - Professional Cuddle Expert & Part-Time Goofball!

Hi! I'm Benito, a two year old Staffy with a very important mission in life... to find my forever family and convince them that personal space is completely overrated!

If you've got a couch, a bed or even just a lap, I'll happily make myself comfortable. My foster carer says I'm one of the cuddliest dogs they've ever met, and honestly, I think they're right. I'm happiest when I'm curled up beside (or preferably on!) my favourite humans, soaking up all the love and attention I can get.

I haven't met a stranger for long! I warm up quickly to visitors, and once I've said hello, I'm usually following around whoever is handing out the most pats and praise. Everyone who meets me falls head over heels for my sweet nature... and they can't stop talking about my adorable little mohawk either!

I'm a clever boy who loves learning, especially when it's fun. I can be a little cheeky and if I think I can get away with something... well... I might give it a try! I'll do best with a family who enjoys continuing my training and giving my clever brain something to think about.

Now, I do have one thing I'm still working on. When I spot another dog out on a walk, I get very excited and find it difficult to focus on anything else. Because of this, I'm looking for a home where I'll be your one and only dog, with someone who's committed to continuing my training using positive, force free methods. I'll need help practising calm behaviours around other dogs and learning that I don't need to say hello to everyone I see. With consistency, patience and guidance, I'll have the best chance to succeed.

I'm searching for a home with secondary school aged children who can join in on my adventures and understand when I'm practising my good manners.

I'd absolutely love a family where someone is home more often than not, because being close to my people is my favourite thing in the world. Walks, training sessions, cuddle marathons, I honestly think that's the recipe for a pretty perfect life!

My previous family had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender me because they moved somewhere that didn't allow pets. Now I'm ready for my next chapter with a family who'll love me forever.
